What changed
Five9 announced a definitive agreement to acquire Level AI, valued at about $325 million in cash and expected to close in 2026 subject to closing conditions. Level AI combines AI agents, agent assist, quality management, Voice of the Customer, coaching and AI Workers on one conversation-intelligence layer, built on its own Latitude models. Five9 says the apps will be offered both standalone, without the Five9 CCaaS platform and including for on-premises or other cloud contact centers, and as part of the AI application layer in the Five9 Genius CX Platform. Level AI applications are already available through the Five9 CX Marketplace.
Vendor documentation (opens in a new tab)Why it matters
This is a packaging change as much as an acquisition. Five9 is setting up to sell AI quality management and agent assist to contact centers that don't run Five9, which puts it in direct competition with standalone conversation-intelligence vendors. Existing Five9 customers using Level AI through the Marketplace should watch for changes to contracts, pricing or integration once the deal closes.

Implementation considerations
NO ACTION REQUIREDNo change applies until the deal closes. Customers who already use or are evaluating Level AI through the Five9 CX Marketplace should ask Five9 about the post-close roadmap, pricing and data-handling terms.
