Global Resiliency routes contacts across two active Regions

Cross-region routing lets agents in either linked Region receive contacts, with unified analytics and contact search across the pair.

What changed

Amazon Connect Global Resiliency added routing across two active, linked AWS Regions. Both Regions carry live traffic, while managers can view analytics and search contacts across the pair. Customers retain control over distribution and can shift new contacts and agents to one Region.

Why it matters

Running live traffic in both environments exercises configuration and integrations continuously rather than leaving one as an idle standby. It does not remove the need to test capacity and dependency behavior during a regional disruption.
