What changed
NICE changed how CXone WFM calculates staffing for real-time skills in True to Interval forecasts. Headcount stops growing once configured service level and ASA targets are met, workload is distributed across intervals using received volume and AHT including contacts that carry into later intervals, and recommendations respond when targets change. In Staffing Parameters (Step 4), a Service Level target, an ASA target or both are now required; Maximum Occupancy becomes an optional cap. Deferrable workloads and imported forecast or historical data are unchanged. Existing forecast jobs keep the old calculation until a target is selected and staffing is regenerated.
Vendor documentation (opens in a new tab)Why it matters
NICE says earlier calculations could overstate headcount and barely move when targets changed. Leaner requirements flow into Schedule Manager and Intraday Manager, so staffing plans, budget comparisons and schedules built on old numbers may shift once forecasts are regenerated.

Implementation considerations
PLANNING RECOMMENDEDBefore the toggle reaches your tenant, identify real-time skill forecasts that use Maximum Occupancy alone, choose Service Level or ASA targets for them, and compare regenerated staffing against current plans before publishing schedules.
CxCave recommendation, not a vendor mandate unless explicitly stated.
